This workshop invites you to surrender into a sequence of nourishing yin yoga poses, held with mindful intention. Delve deep into each posture, allowing the slow and steady stretches to unravel tension, targeting the connective tissues and fostering a sense of spaciousness within. As you settle into each yin pose, the ambient soundscape of sound bowls, chimes, harmonium, singing and other ethereal instruments, will cradle you in a tapestry of harmonious vibrations. The synergy of yin yoga and resonant sounds creates a meditative space for inner exploration and renewal.

The class closes in the serene embrace of Yoga Nidra, a guided meditation that invites you to rest in a state between wakefulness and deep relaxation. Drift effortlessly into a realm of stillness as you release any lingering tension, experiencing a profound sense of peace.

Heart Awakening Kirtan

Upcoming Dates
@ Yoga Life Studio, Eastbourne

6:30-8pm:
- Friday 19th December
- Saturday 3rd January

I’m over the moon to be bringing the practice of Bhakti Yoga to Yoga Life Studio for a Heart Awakening Kirtan.

Almost 2 years ago, I bought my first harmonium and fell deeply in love with the practice of Kirtan. No other yoga practice had ever taken me so quickly into my heart or given me such an indescribable sense of peace.

I’m beyond excited to share this beautiful practice with you at the gorgeous Yoga Life Studio alongside my drummer Tom, where we’ll gather for an evening of chanting, connection, and community. Whether you’ve practiced Kirtan before or brand new to Kirtan, everyone is welcome.

The word ‘Kirtan’ originates from a Sanskrit root meaning ‘To cut through’. This call and response style of chanting serves as a practice to cut through the constant chatter of the mind, awaken the heart, and bring us fully into the present moment through the power of sound and vibration.

You don’t need to be a singer or a yogi (it’s fine if you are too) - just come as you are. Simply show up, embrace your authentic self, connect with likeminded humans and immerse in the blissful meditation of Kirtan.

Cacao Ceremony & Kirtan

Saturday 29th November
6-8pm
@ The Sussex Shala

After leading monthly Kirtans for the past few months, it's with our greatest pleasure to bring you a one-off evening of Cacao Ceremony & Kirtan at the Sussex Shala on Friday 29th November 6-8pm.

My dear friend Sophie, will be guiding us through a Cacao Ceremony, with ethically sourced Alma Cacao, which is from a women-led Mayan collective in Guatamala. Cacao is more than just chocolate in its purest form - it’s a gentle, nourishing plant medicine that has been used for centuries in ceremony and community. When prepared and shared intentionally, cacao is known to increase circulation, boost mood, and bring a sense of grounded energy. Many people find it helps them feel more open-hearted & connected, and relaxed.

The theme for the ceremony will be around November - the days are short and nature is inviting us inwards into stillness and reflection. The waxing crescent moon is a time where we can plant the seeds from this inward reflections, a time for new beginnings, and the veil is thin so we can connect with out ancestors - feeling their presence and guidance on our path.

From this space of connection, we’ll flow into Kirtan: the joyful practice of call-and-response mantra chanting. We’ll chant simple yet powerful mantras that invite us to move beyond the mind, and merge our voices in devotion. Kirtan isn’t about performance but about the energy that's cultivated as a collective - every voice is welcome, every sound adds to the collective vibration.
